REFLECTIONS OF GROWTH

When the Enemy on the INSIDE is no longer there

The Enemy on the OUTSIDE can't do you any harm!

When the Enemy on the INSIDE is no longer there • The Enemy on the OUTSIDE can't do you any harm!

A change can come; no matter the circumstances or where you from.

A change can come; you just have to stay strong until the task is done.

A change can come; you have to believe it the same way you believe in the rising of the sun.

A change can come; focus on the destination and not the journey.

A change can come; when we learn to withstand pain.

A change can come; we just have to learn to dance in the rain.

Anything in life is possible if you only believe. A situation ain’t going to change unless you change it. What we need is the strength to do it and the serenity to accept it.

A Change Can Come

A Poem by former student Phillip Dawkins

The word behavior is how someone acts and what a person does to make something happen. It is also a response to things that are happening internally like thoughts and feelings or externally like the environment including other people

I have experienced my children screaming, crying, and refusing to listen. I would make them calm down by motivating them in a way that if they stop the above behavior I would reward them with going to the park or going out to buy ice cream or the sort. Basically using a reward system, points, and stars on a chart on the refrigerator that they can see and be reminded to be good. I have also experienced depression and anxiety. I learned to go to the gym and feel the pain of lifting weights and running non-stop for 30min while listening to uplifting music. This has and still helps me cope with these feelings today. I also felt rejected by others and have worked on improving myself as in my physical physique, the clothes I wear, and my mindset. I learned that joy comes from within and when you forge joy out of things in your control you become happy and when you focus on what you are passionate about, people get attracted to you.

In re-introducing myself, I would tell her how I have grown from the past. Meaning getting educated on real relationships and not listening to guys that had limited to No relationship experience.

I would tell her. By taking this class I get to talk and listen to other members’ situations and it gives me a better understanding of the dynamics going on in my life.

When explaining what makes a good relationship I would say, “Be committed to the relationship, trust and establish a friendship.”

When asked what are my future goals? To be in a committed loving relationship where bonds, friendships and peace are created.
